We host our events at two premium locations situated in a mostly car-free, green zone in the 2nd district of Vienna:

Both venues are located within Viertel Zwei, an innovative city quarter which stands as Europe’s first DGNB Platinum-certified urban district. This area perfectly balances a modern environment for a variety of businesses and corporates with a strong focus on nature. The quarter is exceptionally green, hosting a large number of trees, well-kept greenery, as well as scenic lakes and ponds, making it a pleasant, natural atmosphere.

• By Car / Air: If driving or flying is unavoidable, we highly encourage forming carpools. To offset carbon emissions from unavoidable travel, we suggest contributing to a certified climate protection project via Climate Austria (climateaustria.at) for example.

For overnight guests looking to maintain a green travel itinerary, we recommend choosing eco-certified hotels in the local area that hold the Österreichisches Umweltzeichen or the EU Ecolabel.

To satisfy your palate sustainably, our events prioritize the following catering guidelines:

• Tailored Sustainable Catering: Since we cooperate with a variety of caterers we can thereby offer numerous catering options certified with the Austrian Ecolabel, featuring vegetarian options and regional, seasonal ingredients, as well as organic foods and drinks – all tailored to our clients’ specific needs.
• Zero Single-Use: We strictly avoid disposable products. All food and drinks are served using reusable dishes, glasses, cups, and cutlery.
• Local Fresh Tap Water: We serve fresh, high-quality Viennese tap water instead of imported or bottled still water to significantly reduce packaging and transport emissions.

We manage our venues with a close eye on resource conservation and invite our guests to do the same:

• Smart Waste Sorting: Please assist us in our recycling efforts by using the clearly labeled waste separation stations (paper, plastic, bio-waste, and general waste) located throughout the venues.
• Mostly Paperless Operations: We limit our own paper usage and also encourage our clients to keep printing to an absolute minimum. Digital alternatives for event programs and presentation materials are highly preferred and enabled through our excellent technological equipment at both our venues. If print materials are absolutely necessary, we strongly encourage partnering with printing companies certified under the Österreichisches Umweltzeichen criteria.
• Energy Efficiency: Help us maintain the room’s indoor climate and energy efficiency by keeping doors and windows closed while air cooling is active in the summer or heating is running in the winter. Please ensure technical devices are switched off when not in use.

Lumia is dedicated to hosting open, inclusive, and accessible events for everyone. We support your individual needs with the following venue infrastructure and corporate standards:

• Respectful Communication and Diversity: In our daily business operations and across all venues, we strictly enforce and encourage respectful communication, diversity, and mutual consideration for all employees, visitors, guests, and partners. Everyone is welcome here, and we maintain an environment free of discrimination.
• Wheelchair Access: Both of our event venues are located entirely on the ground floor (no lifts required) and feature barrier-free, wheelchair-accessible entrances.
• Sanitary Facilities: A fully wheelchair-accessible toilet is available at our Prisma venue. Guests attending events at the Loft by the Lake venue are welcome to utilize this accessible toilet facility, which is a short 5 to 7-minute walk away.
• Acoustic Sensitivity & Support: While we do not have permanent induction loops installed, we are glad to help organize hearing loops or tactile guidance systems upon request. Additionally, for events with elevated noise levels, free earplugs are available individually upon request at our reception desk.
